Leptocephalus atau dikenali sebagai "slim head" ialah larva bagi beberapa jenis belut laut. Apa yang menakjubkan ialah, larva belut ini lutsinar. Perkara ini disebabkan oleh larva ini kekurangan sel darah merah dan masih di dalam proses pembesaran sebelum menjadi belut sebenar. 

#Unik! Bayangkan manusia tanpa sel darah merah? LOL
